Farm life

Last week I went with Oliver up to one of our properties and we laid black plastic before we planted cantaloupe, watermelon and tomatoes. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We both rode the tractor up to the property though....it was a tight squeeze!  haha

 

And last week we also got our order or baby chicks in the mail.  We have black ones this year!  Every other year we've always had the white ones.  So far, they're all looking really healthy and they are already growing like weeds!

 

That's it...for this post at least.  I have other pictures, but just no time to put them up right now.   I've decided to start getting up at 4 on Fridays in order to finish a couple of things BEFORE breakfast.  We'll see how long this routine will last...:)  Thanks for reading my blog!



Home Sweet Home- The beginning of a great summer

I've only been home for four days now!  And I've already started snapping tons of pictures.  Thursday when I got home, I babysat my adorable nephew the rest of the day.  I took him for a walk around the property and took a few pictures of the crops my dad and brother have planted while I was in CA. 

 

 

My dad gave Hudson a ride on the tractor too...

 

On Friday I picked spinach...man, it's HUGE!!!!  This leaf was bigger than my hand.  I thought to myself "I'll never look at the spinach in the bags at the store the same way again..."  :D 

 

It's great to be home!

Graduation and HOME!

Wow, finals are OVER and I'm headed home.  I am sitting in the Los Angeles airport, even as I type this.  I'm extremely happy that LAX decided to get free wifi for their customers.  :) 

 

This is the final lineup on my grades this semester.  One of my classes is yet to be posted.  I almost made straight A's....so close. 

 

 

 

Graduation was this morning...it seemed to be a long morning leading up to it, and I had fun with Miriam, "helping" her get ready.

So now, I have just to wait for my flight to board tonight in like, an hour.  Then an all-night flight home.  I'll be in Pennsylvania tomorrow at about noon!  Looking forward to this summer!



Hair Day with Miriam

It's a rare occasion that I do my hair.  Since I did it, I thought a few pictures were in order.  :)  Miriam wanted to do my hair, so last week, we did it and then took a couple pictures. 

 

She's awesome with hair and stuff...much better than I could ever be!  My mentality is (most of the time) why bother doing it, when it'll just get messed up?  Well, that's not really my mentality...:)  I actually used to do my hair all the time (either curled or straightened) and I killed it with all the irons and heat.  So for the past two years, I've been taking it really easy on the hot irons.  Every now and then, I'll do it. 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, this is such a short and odd post.  But since the next couple days are my last, I'll be taking as many pictures as I can.  Then I'll post them.  Tuesday is my last day of work.  I'll miss it there!  This summer I'll probably spend all my money on McDonalds. :)  Until later!

Finals again

I have been extremely neglectful of my blog.  It is MAY already and there are only 5 more days until I am headed home to Pennsylvania.  I have one more final to take and will be an official senior in college.  Needless to say, I've been extremely busy lately, with finals week, graduation prep, and working 36 hours, plus the countless projects for my music classes...I've just been keeping afloat.

 

But being finished with the majority of my classes, and only one final remaining, I figured I'd just write a short post to let you all know I'm still alive...just very busy. 

 

Next week, I will write again, a more detailed post about finals and such.  Until then!
