NEW NEWS

Well, I've been neglecting my blog.  The biggest news is that I am now married!  It's so hard to believe.

Since I hadn't posted on here before the wedding, I'll try to catch you all up in a few posts.

So many things have happened.  First of all, on April 30th, I married Daniel, my amazing husband.  I loved every moment of planning the wedding, making decorations and even paying for things for it.  But nothing could beat actually BEING in my wedding.  It was the magical day I've always dreamed of.  The only part I would re-do was when Dan "accidently" pushed the piece of cake into my nose at our reception.

Our amazing photographer captured some truly wonderful shots and we've loved looking through them.  I'll include some of them in this post.
My wonderful sister and brother in law paid for a limousine to take us from our wedding to the reception, which was held at Shady Maple Smorgasbord.  It was a wonderful wedding gift and we love some of the pictures that came from it!

Some of these may be out of order and such, but at least my blog viewers can see part of this wonderful day of my life!

I remember always thinking that when I got married, I would have the traditional rice thrown as we would leave the reception.  However, the place where I wanted to have our reception does not allow rice-throwing due to the massive amount of cleanup.  Bubbles were my last choice, but they were the one that was accepted at the reception.  I'm glad now, because I love how the pictures turned out.  Plus, I didn't spend the rest of the day picking rice out of my ears and vacuuming rice up off of our truck seats.

After the ceremony, the limousine driver took us to Poole Forge park, where we had our "after-wedding" photos taken.  It is a small, but beautiful place with historic buildings and a covered bridge.

I was so happy that my whole family was able to come to my wedding, and be a part of it as well.  My dad was able to perform the ceremony, my sisters were all bridesmaids, my brother was a groomsman, and my niece was a flower girl.
Dan mentioned to me that he's always wanted to sing as a couple at his wedding, so we made it work!  He picked out the song, and we learned it by singing it three times a day each day.  As it was, I kept forgetting the words to my verse!  I'm just glad that I got it right on our wedding day.

Since we were having a morning wedding, we took group pictures before the wedding at 9AM.  It turned out to be a beautiful, cloudy day (apparently, a perfect day for taking pictures).

We also took "first look" photos.

Like I've said previously, this post is WAY late (nearly 7 months late), so after this post, I'll do my best to slowly catch up on my life currently.
Until I post again, enjoy the wedding photos!

Sarah and Billy Wedding

I know I said that I would post this yesterday, but things got crazy...
So here is what I have from the day of the wedding last week!

The funniest thing happened when me and my parents were getting in the car and headed to the wedding at 9AM.  We walked outside to a pretty sheet of snow and were just walking up to the camry when a raccoon trudged out of the garage or from between the two trucks.  I don't know about other places, but around our area, raccoons do NOT come out in daylight hours.  The three times I have seen raccoons or skunks wandering around in broad daylight, they were rabid.  It didn't help that this coon was limping around and running in zig zags up through the yard.  So naturally, my dad grabbed an old fence post...and took care of business.

Who else kills raccoons with fence posts on their way to their daughters wedding?  That's why I love my dad so much!  I was sitting in the backseat laughing the whole time and trying to get a good picture of my dad, but he was running around too fast.  This is the best I could get.

The wedding went very well!  Since I was playing the violin for the prelude and processional, recessional and postlude, I wasn't able to take any pictures of the wedding ceremony...:(  I'm sure I will see the ones from the photographer later though.

After the ceremony, we took pictures.  While we waited for our turns, Hudson was being squirmy, so Daniel was holding him...

And my little niece Ella is soooooo adorable.  Look at that red hair!  She's so cute...

Sarah and Billy drove off in a limo to the reception!  :)

The reception was held at the Ironmasters Mansion at Pine Grove Furnace.  I had never been there before...its really quite a nice place!  So historical!

It was one of the stops on the underground railroad, and this is the secret room, secret passage way where they would hide the escaping slaves.  Isn't that crazy?  I loved walking around in the mansion, reading the plaques.

Here is a picture of Oliver and Elisabeth as they wait for food.

Daniel, Mark, Ryan and Oliver "decorated" Billy's car with shaving cream. :)

This is pretty much the ONLY picture I actually got of Sarah and Billy.  They were getting ready to cut the cake.  Which, was HUGE by the way...

And this is me, with my nieces, Tabitha and Abigail.

The musicians for the reception.  This is the third wedding in my family that they have played music for.  I really enjoy their music; it's fun and exciting :)

My brother in law, Ryan and my handsome nephew Reuben.  I love his smile...he always smiles for the camera, such a photogenic little boy!

Hudson and Martha were exploring the mansion as well...Martha was Sarah's Matron of honor.

This is a picture of the cake, sorry its blurry and small because I took this picture on my phone.

And these pictures are definitely the best, but I cannot take credit.

It was such a nice time to be home, and see Sarah and Billy get married.  It's so crazy to think that she is the third Keckler to get married...time flies!
Until next time!

Wedding Pictures!

One of my closest friends from college, Sarah, asked me to be one of her bridesmaids in her wedding which was a few months ago.  I didn't actually put the pictures on my computer until just now, which made me remember that I never posted anything about the wedding!

So a few months ago, when I was still in PA, I drove to the Philadelphia airport to pick up another one of the bridesmaids, Kim.  Kim and I are friends as well.  It was so nice to be a part of a wedding where I was already friends with pretty much everyone in the wedding.
Anyway, on our way back to Sarah's house in NJ, we totally got lost and were wandering around in NJ until about 2 AM...sheesh.
But we finally made it to her house and got to sleep.
I took this picture of Kim and I on the morning after we woke up.  We pretty much were at the house by ourselves, so we just hung out and cleaned up until it was time to help decorate the church.

At the church, we just helped decorate all of the tables and the reception area. And...we may have goofed off a little bit.

This was later, at the rehearsal dinner.

Anyway, these pictures are completely out of order...but I had the best time ever with the best girls ever.

And I was only able to get one picture of the happy couple...how terrible is that?

It was a lovely wedding and I miss these girls a lot!  Kim is still here at college, so we are able to hang out sometimes when both of us are not working.  :)
Well, those are just a couple of the photos of my amazing time spent in NJ being in my friends wedding.
