Whew are we ever grateful for the rain we got last week! Two huge storms came through and saved us from this drought everyone's been talking about. We still have green grass and the tomatoes are still producing!
I'm pretty sure our apples and tomatoes will have some serious hail damage, but we're just thankful for the rain we got. We have it so much better than some other farmers in the west.
On Sunday afternoon, my family decided to go on a picnic to York. My mom packed us a nice picnic lunch and we found a park and ate. It was such a nice thing, because it is rare!
This is just a picture of us, setting up the food.
We were set right next to this pretty creek
After we finished out picnic, we actually went to a huge cemetery in York where nearly all of our relatives have been buried. It was good to be able to go and reminisce about relatives. I didn't know any of them, but I enjoyed hearing the stories.
I took a few pictures when we got back to our home.
I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far! I know I am!
My Name is Virginia, and I am currently a music at a private Christian school. I have a Bachelors degree and Masters degree in music. I play the piano and the violin. I grew up on a farm called Orchard Country Produce in the countryside of Pennsylvania.
I am married to the man of my dreams and we have been married for one year.
I have a great family, and I love them dearly. And I have a God who surpasses all others.
I enjoy blogging mostly because I know I can go back and read through it someday. Someday I will be able to show my nieces and nephews pictures and posts from "way back" when I was young. I am typically sporadic in my blogging, but when I do blog, I try to post a lot of pictures. Pictures are worth a 1,000 words, or so they say! Anyway, just a bit about me. Hope you enjoy looking around my blog.
