A new car!

My parents just bought this car for Lydia. Whenever one of my siblings graduates from College, my parents buy them a car. Lydia's graduating in May, but since she's getting married in May too, they decided to get her car now.
Its a 1999 Toyota Camry. She really likes it, and she claims that she's going to paint pink flowers on the sides. :-)

Have you ever prepared Horseradish????

Oh my! Yesterday My mom and I had quite the time of our lives in the kitchen! I was making Swedish Meatballs, and my Mom was preparing Horseradish to give to our DCJCC(DC Jewish Community Center) CSA on Wednesday.
This is the horseradish after it was processed.

And before!

My mom had to take four crying breaks, and I was just crying the whole time! even this morning, after getting a nice sleep, my eyes are irritated.
So, just as a warning, if you find your craving horseradish, go buy it from the store! :-)

Tag

I have been "Tagged" by my blogging friend, Cora Beth. Thank you so much, Cora!
The rules are to pass this award on to 7 other bloggers whom I think are honest in their blogging and to list 10 honest things about myself.
It took me awhile to find some time to actually do this and think about it, but this is what I've come up with!
1. I love doing small things with my family: like going to a park, ordering out pizza, going out to eat, and going to church...
2. (Cora, I'm kind of copying off of your answers! :-)) I'm a "outgoing" person (I think) but I've been told on NUMEROUS occasions that I'm very quiet, and shy. So I'm basically really confused. haha! I guess because everyone see's something different in me. I think I'm a huge talker, but when I'm compared with my siblings, people say that I'm very quiet.
3. I play the violin, piano and organ. I love the piano the best though! Also, I've just become the First Chair (for violins) in my Homeschool orchestra.
4. I have a LOT of pen pals! ( can you see a trend Cora Beth???:-) I've always loved writing snail mail letters much better than emails. There's just something so EXCITING about getting a letter in the mail!!! :-)
5. I'm not much of a "Go-getter." I'll sit back and relax about almost everything. I'm really trying to work on this too, because it can be a bad thing.
6. I love doing things around the house which most people consider to be just normal. Hanging the laundry is something that I've loved since I was little.
7. I can't swim. :-( I've tried and tried to learn, and if I ever tell you something like "I went swimming the other day", what I REALLY mean, is that I was Floating on a floater. I sink every time I try to swim.
8. I dislike Citrus Fruits..Oranges, Tangerines, Pineapple, you name it.
9. I love any cheese products!!!:-)
10. And....I have been scared of snakes since I stepped on a big one when i was about 10....:-)

Well, there you have it!
I just wanted to say that I'm sorry I havent posted abything in a long time! I'm still alive, just very busy!
So, I'll post something again (hopefully) in the near future!

Flambards

I just thought I'd share this movie with you all! Lydia and I were singing this song today and it reminded me of the "old days" when we (Mommy, Sarah, Martha, Lydia and I) would watch this movie when my Dad had overnight trips. (He always disliked any Jane Austen's or Flambards). I've always loved the movie, and this just brought back good memories!
Enjoy!

Beautiful Sunset

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with my blog as much I would like!
Yes, I'm still alive and doing well! haha! We've just been terribly busy.
Just thought I'd share these pictures of a beautiful sunset we had the other day!

It almost look like fire! :-)

Much love to you all! Until later!

What a Handful!

This morning when we were loading the truck for market, I found this Tomato and Apple. THEY'RE HUGE!!!!!
This is a Yellow Heirloom. All of our customers at the market stands rave over all the heirlooms, and I must say, they are VERY tasty on sandwiches!
This is the biggest apple I've found yet. :-)
We have a variety called 27-ouncer, and we were pretty sure thats what it was. But it turned out to be a Summer Rambo. It has so many spots because our sprayer broke half way through the summer....:-(

Daddy and Oliver being goofy. :-)

Thats all for now!:-)

My Early Graduation Present

My Grandma came over the other day with an early graduation present for me!
She and my mom LOVE quilting, and she's made a quilt for each of my siblings then the graduate, and another when they get married.
Since I'm graduating this year (WE HOPE! haha!), this is my graduation present.
I LOVE it!

Each of siblings had Their favorite thing on they're quilt, so I asked for mine to be music notes. :-)

I totally love it, and I think its a great graduation present! :-)
Until later!

Corn Maze

Hello everyone!
Its been awhile since I last posted. On Saturday I went to the Cherry Crest Farm in Lancaster. Martha, Daniel and a girl from my church named Kelsey, and I did the corn maze that they have. I was fun, and I got a few pictures from then.
This picture is from when I was at camp. I'm sitting in front of the Sports Center on the fountain. : )

Right before we started the maze. Martha's acting goofy!:-)

Kelsey and I went together through the maze. we decided that we were going to beat Martha and Daniel out. We missed them by just 16 minutes!
This is Kelsey, climbing on the hay bales in the maze.:-) haha, they are there for little kids, but we were climbing on them anyway.

The theme this year was "Visit Pennsylvania." As you can see from the hillside. :-)

Out front they had this horse made out of flowers. And of course, I HAD to take a picture of it! haha!

That's about all that's been going on lately. I'll keep you all posted as soon as I have more news!

Mirai

You know that the Summer season is starting to wind down when you have THE BEST CORN EVER!!!!!
Mirai

I'm not much of a person for corn, but when Mirai's in the picture, I'm there. :-)
