Family Photos 2020

Since both of the girls are napping I thought this was the perfect time to make a quick post.  We had our family photos taken last week and this session was by far, my favorite of all the family photos we've had taken.  Our photographer enjoys taking candid shots of us doing what we do.  I enjoy posing and doing exactly what the photographer suggests.
We met in the middle and I'm getting better at being natural though I know someone's taking my picture (at least I think so :)
This is also the first year that I haven't still been having to wear maternity clothes in our photo session, because I have lost weight.  It was a celebration time for me!

Family Photos on the Lake

Hello friends!  I am very behind on posting on my blog (what else is knew, right??)...so I am finally posting these family photos we had taken back in JUNE.  Yes, June.  So in the 2 1/2 months that have gone by, our children have grown a lot, and these are outdated.  But hey, I figured I would share them anyway.   

 

We went to Lake George to take these.  The battlefield there was a nice place and of course, it was nice to get the lake in the background in some photos.

 

 

 

As always, Gwendolyn was being a little ham.  She did great with the candid pictures.  Most of the posed ones though, she struggled with.  :)

It was during my mother-in-law's visit that we had these taken.  I thought it would be nice to get a few shots of Gwen and Lucie with their mimi.

 

 

It didn't take Gwen long to realize in this pose that she could have a little fun with Dan's hair!

It was a fun time and we got several good memories to keep from it.  Hope you all are doing well!  I'm going to try to post again tomorrow.  The best time to get on my laptop is when both children are napping...which is very rare!  Unless it's nighttime...and let's be honest...when both children are in bed, I'm also more than ready to fall asleep myself.

 

So hopefully, you'll see another post tomorrow...or whenever I have both children napping and all my other duties finished. 

Family Photos

 

A few months ago (way back in June!) we had our family photos taken.  I knew I wanted to have some taken after Gwen was born, but most photographers in this area charge astronomical prices just to take the photos...it's extra if you want to purchase the photos then.  Most of them are fancy places that serve you dainty French desserts while you come to look at the photos in a private theatre in the studio. 

Honestly?  I just want some nice-looking photos to put in an album and give to my family...I don't want to pay a small fortune for gold frames and photo albums (that's what I felt like I'd be paying for with some of these businesses). 

 

I finally found a photographer not far from us who is a veteran and whose passion is to serve military members, veterans and all things American.  I like that cause for sure, so I contacted him and we set up an appointment for the following week. 

 

We went to a local park to take these.   

 

 

I love to see Gwendolyn's hair in this one...it's hilarious!
