Bee's, and Solar Panels!

Well, the past few days have been busy!!!:)
As you can tell by my first picture here! hahaaha
This is me with my favorite food, Cottage Cheese!

Yesterday, our bee's swarmed. They went to the nearby Butterfly bush, and swarmed there. Fortunately, My dad was able to catch them and put them in a new hive!

We've had a crew of workers here at the house for the past few days. They've been putting up solar panels for us. We're getting 33...they have 10 up right now. Two of them ordered pies! :)
But that's what we've been up too! That and Baking baking baking!!!!
I've got to go get ready for market tomorrow!

Clubs

Last night was our last night of Patch, Pee Wee and Cubbies Clubs at my church. At the beginning of the next school year, we'll start up again.
I took some pictures of the group I work with: The Pee Wee's.
First they did a goofy picture.

Than a serious picture!
I had fun helping out this past year in Pee Wee.
Getting to know the kids was great, and I hope I can do it again next year!

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day everyone! We had a Marshmallow cook-out yesterday night.
After finishing all of our work for the day, and getting the trucks ready for market, we went to the back of the property and had our cook-out.
Here are some pictures from the cook-out.
This is me and Oliver of course
Lydia and I. Mark jumped into the background with his marshmallow's. :)
Me and my Dog, Homer. Right now he's really sick, and we're afraid that he's going to die soon, but he was really excited yesterday night, and kept trying to eat the marshmallows. ;)

Me. I have no clue what I'm holding up....It might be a Hershey Kiss wrapper though....

But that's what we did yesterday. Today it rained all day and I went to work with Martha. So that was fun: mowing in the rain. :)
I guess that's all for now!
Until next time!

Sustainable living fair

Yesterday Daddy and I went to the Heartland of Maryland Sustainable Living Fair, to sell our 'wares'.
I don't believe I have ever seen such a group of weird people in all my life. There were people everywhere wearing shirts that said "being Green is easy", "Go Green", "No Incinerators", and tons of others. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with not littering or recycling, but I mean, these people were over the fence....way over.
One man came right up to me and asked me if I was married. When I told him "No", he went on and on to my dad about how I shouldn't be allowed to marry any guy unless he has blue ribbons tied around his neck. I was so confused, and I didn't understand a WORD he was saying!!!!!
Those are the kind of weird people we met, all day!
It was kinda wearing on you....
BUT,
We got to see some of our customers from The Westminster Farmers Market, so that was nice.
This is a picture of our tent. :)

Our stand was stuck RIGHT in front of the music groups who came in. So, basically we were stuck in this Fair next to these bands which made it so that you had to scream in order for the customers to hear you.
I had a headache by the end of the day!
This band in particular, was REALLY weird.
The guy on the far left, is playing some weird instrument.....it looked like sheet metal. He had a spoon and fork in each hand and was banging them on his "instrument." Daddy and I were laughing so hard, he made me take a picture of it!:)
Anyway, so that was our "Fun" event-filled day! :)
By the way, I DON'T think we're going back next year! :)
hahaha
I guess I'll talk to you later!

Enjoy this Memorial Day Weekend!

Boy Scouts

Yesterday I stayed home from market, and Lydia went instead. I did some school and housework stuff.
We got 25 new baby chicks in the mail the other day, so I was taking care of them. Unfortunately, three died.
Then, when everyone got home from market, we all went to Oliver's Boy Scout Court of Honor. Oliver was given lots of merit badges he had completed.
This is the Scout Master giving Oliver the merit badges.

Sorry these pictures are so dark. This is the group of boys who completed a Klondike race (or something).

The whole Troop 55, with their leaders. Oliver is the one on the other kids shoulders. :)

So that's what I've been doing. Yesterday was Election day, and I hope you all voted! ;)
'Til next time!

CHAP Convention!

I've been keeping very busy lately! What with baking, and working in the garden. Although Friday and Saturday I managed to take "off"and go with my mom to the CHAP (Christian Homeschool Association of Pennsylvania) Convention. Which is a HUGE event for Homeschool parents and kids. There are a lot of booths set up, selling Homeschool curriculum's, or promoting Christian Colleges ( I went to a lot of those!). There are also workshops for everybody. Many famous speakers who have either been homeschooled or homeschool were there.
I went to CHAP two years ago, but wasn't able to go for the past few years. I decided that I wanted to go this year. So I signed up. :)
This is me, in the car....(blah!)

I thought this picture was appropriate, (with the "homeschool" van in the background) We used to have one of those....but ours was brown.
:)The CHAP convention is always held in the Farm Show Complex. There were about 200 booths there. :)

This was really funny! I was walking past the Pensacola Christian College booth, and then recognized who was manning the table. :) Matt has been at Pensacola for the past two years when I have gone to camp there. He drove all of us to and from the airport, and also helped in the song services. :) It was really funny meeting up with someone I knew from FLORIDA!
Another time, I was walking down a row of booths, and I heard someone calling my name. I turned around and saw Abi, a girl I had met at Pensacola. It was really weird. She and I hung out part of the day, but I wasn't able to get a picture with her...:(
(don't mind me: I look really weird in this picture)

This year, CHAP had something new: Special sessions just for Teens. I signed up to go to them. It was really good! Diana Waring was our speaker, and she was really great!
In this picture, (that's Mrs. Waring standing on the chair) four of the teens are getting ready to act out Jesus and his Disciples...(we were acting out some Bible stories)

And here is a video from our last session. We (the audience) were supposed to be "the wind and the waves roaring". The three guys on the left were disciples and the other guy supposed to be Jesus. It was actually really cool!:)

And this was us, practicing our wind and wave sounds. :)
And that's all I have. I had a load of fun! and I'm hoping to be able to go again next year!
I hope you all are having a good week so far!

Yesterday was my first time going to market this year! :)
I went with Mommy to Bethesda, Maryland. It was cloudy most of the day, but thankfully it didn't rain on us!

This was the only picture I managed to get. We were sitting in the truck waiting until 9 O'clock to park. I'm sorry I haven't been able to post much recently. I've been baking a lot lately (which is what I'll be doing today) and haven't been able to get any good pictures for the blog! :)
That's all for now! Hopefully next time I'll have something a little bit more interesting to write about!
:)

Market's have started!

Today was the first day of market. :)
This is Oliver and Mommy leaving in the box truck.

Daniel tore out our window and put in a door. We're going to build a wrap-around porch/patio onto the back and side of our house. So we're just starting with the door to the (unbuilt) patio.

This is a bush right outside the door. I thought it was really pretty!!!
Anyway, mommy and Oliver did well at market, and I had my first experience of almost running over a squirrel today. I screamed really loud and slammed on the brakes...(that did NOT make the guy behind me happy!)

:), but I missed him!

That's all for now. Have a wonderful weekend!

This is a video of the ensemble playing "I've got my eye on you" from Pirates of the Carribean. :)

This is part of the piece I played for my concert. Its "Come Thou Fount."
:)

Yesterday was my first baking day of the season! :)
Just a few pictures of the things I made. :)
Also I've put on a few pictures from my Orchestra Ensemble's concert last night. :) I'll hopefully put up a video later! ;)
