My hair is growing back!

I don't think I ever even mentioned on here that last semester I got my hair cut. The girl who cut it really went at it and chopped off more than I would have liked. So it was pretty short for awhile...
BUT...it is SLOWLY growing back.
This picture was taken just two weeks ago and the others were from last semester.

Whenever my friends see my hair they say "It's growing BACK Ginny" because they all know how much I miss my hair. From now on, I'm going to be sure to only have it trimmed, not chopped. :)

LA Clippers Game

This weekend has been exciting!
I went on a college activity to see the Los Angeles Clippers play against the Memphis Grizzlies (part of the NBA). I'm really not much into sports as most people know, but my friend really wanted me to go and even paid for my ticket, so I went. I actually had a lot of fun too!
The game was at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

Our seats were pretty far up- the nose bleed section!
Leslie and me before the game started
Nick, acting goofy.
At 12:30, the teams came out onto the court to warm-up and everything.
Nick went down to the first floor and touched Blake Griffin's hand. He came back up pretty ecstatic. :) I don't know the first thing about basketball, but I must admit, the game was really good and it was fun to see all of the TV cameras there and famous news broadcasters and everything.
Leslie and me, in the MIDDLE of the game.
This was my neighbor in the seat beside me. It's a native American headdress! :) At half time, a group of Native Americans did a traditional war dance in honor of Native American Appreciation Day.
This is the Native American dance. It was really a highlight of my day! It took me back to my roots. haha, not really...but I did enjoy it.
Well, that's it for now...my week has been very busy and exciting. I'm ready for the last week of March to start though.

Life at College

My little flowers are barely recognizable! They've grown so much in these last few weeks. I'm hoping that they will bloom before I leave to go back to Pennsylvania. I can't very well take them home with me.

Spring Break last week was amazing...very relaxing. There's nothing like spending time with a friend you can laugh with all day!
Rebekah and I had fun doing just that during the break.

That's just about it for now. We just finished a Church Planters Conference. The students' class schedules were shortened as a result so there wasn't very much homework due. Today I didn't go to class at ALL! I got excused from class in order to record a CD with the college choir. It was a lot of fun!
Until later!

Spring Break

Whew, Spring break is here and I am feeling very relaxed. I volunteered to be a "student" for a online class recording. So most of this week I will be in "class" even though I am not getting a credit for it or anything. I don't mind because it gives me something to do with my mornings.
Besides the class, the college has provided activities and fun things for those students who stay over break. Last Friday, we had a talent show. It was so fun to watch!
This was just a picture of all the contestants.

Rebekah and I, watching the talent show.
My roommate and I found a nice quiet spot to study and read or just relax. Behind the football field there is an old wooden bleacher. So sometimes we just go out and sit on it.
That's about all I've been doing over my break. I bought my plane ticket yesterday to go home in May! I'm already excited about it!

CA Weather

The other day I sat outside for two hours reading, and now I have a pretty bad sunburn on my arms. I really do like the weather we have here, even though it's dry.
I have a perfect view of the sunset from my bedroom window.
And of course, I can tell when it will be rainy. With clouds like these, who needs a meteorologist?

Just another day in my life

I survived midterms. Now I have a week to do projects and do absolutely nothing. It's times like this when I really wish I lived closer to home.

LOOK AT MY FLOWERS!!!!!

I guess I was kind of skeptical as to whether my flowers would actually grow in cheap potting soil and a pot. Especially in a dorm room where I rarely remember to water them!
Here's proof though...my roommate and I are thinking of starting a farm now. Cucumbers are next!

The 99 Cent store is wonderful.

The 99 Cent store is my new favorite place to shop.
Two of my roommates went with me to see what was in the 99 cent store, and I am now a firm believer. Of course there was a lot of junk, and they don't look the best, but when you are a college student, cheap is best. While we were there, Lydia bought a little rose plant and a pot and I bought some flower seeds and a pot. We're starting our own flower shop from our dorm room. If they are a success, we may try onions or cucumbers next...
We found some wonderful Easter hats
and also just some weird looking ones....
Basically, the 99 cent store is just wonderful.
When we were soulwinning on saturday, this basset hound kept following us around. It was so cute and reminded me of my own basset hound at home. I miss HOMER! :)
And this is just a random picture of Abby and me.
This week is midterm exams! I am so excited...the week after this week is spring break. I cannot wait to come home for the summer....

Busy Week...

Wow, it has been a busy week! My pictures on this post are pretty rough and blurry: I think my camera is having a few problems. Please excuse that...:)
Last Thursday I played in chapel! It was fun and exciting and kind of scary at first. My roommate insisted on taking a picture of me. So here I am, blurrily sitting at the piano before playing.

On a different side note, my dorm supervisors announced that this past weekend we were having "White Glove" inspection. So I was busy cleaning all night Saturday. My roommate Lydia and I cleaned out the filters of the air conditioning unit and we got these two balls of dust off of them. We decided to put them in the shower before cleaning the shower too. We told Beth Anne and Mackenzie that we thought there was an animal in our room. I don't think they believed us, but it was funny to see their faces when they first looked in the shower.

On Monday, I had some very difficult homework due. I had to write my own chapter of a theory book on the dominant seventh chord (oh boy!) and on Tuesday, I taught a music history lesson in my Christian School Music class. I left my fifth hour class early and traveled with the college choir to Long Beach. We performed a concert there in Long Beach. It went well and it was fun to do something different.
I was only able to take a few pictures before my camera died on me.
Rebekah and I on the bus
A blurry picture of me with Andrea in the background.

Today and tomorrow there is no school, since it is Fine Arts here at the college. I'm glad, because it gives me extra time to do homework and projects that are due next for MIDTERMS. It's hard to believe: Next week are midterms and the week after that is Spring Break! YES!
