CRAZY-BUSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Well, we've been keeping really busy!!!! It must get boring hearing me say that on nearly every post...but every time I write it, it gets truer and truer. :)
This is a picture of the box truck on Saturday morning while we were loading for market.
It was SO full!!!
Every thing's in all at once: all of the vegetables, cherries, strawberries(although they're going out), blueberries, raspberries, and more and more stuff each week!!!!

That's why it gets so crazy around here!!! and also why I don't blog as much as I'd like to!!!!!:)
I'll hopefully post something tomorrow or Wednesday!

Martha and Daniel's Engagement!

Everything is just as hectic as ever, but something exciting happened yesterday!:)
MARTHA AND DANIEL GOT ENGAGED!!!!!!!
:)
They came home from work and told us. Apparently Daniel proposed while hey were working at a job....How totally unromantic!!!!!!:)
I guess it wasn't much of a surprise since they've been talking about it for about a year now.
But I thought it was exciting, and I made them pose for some pictures!

I think they said that its a half carat!:)

So that was pretty exciting news to me! :) I've got one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, and now two brother-in-laws-to-be. :)
YAY!!!!!!

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Well, I've been keeping pretty busy with the farm work and other normal things.
After Sarah and I finished capping strawberries, pitting cherries and freezing them all (my hands are totally PURPLE now!!!) I noticed some really pretty flowers in the yard, which I had never noticed before. :)
This is one of my Mom's rosebushes.

Some Tiger Lilies
I think this is a rose, but don't take my word for it (I'm clueless when it comes to flowers....)

Even though this is not a flower, I found it in the yard, so I thought I'd take a picture of it! ;) haha

These little guys were in the yard as well....they've grown a LOT since my Dad built this cage for them! :)

And now I'm going to tell you a little story. :)
On Monday (yesterday), I got a phone call from Mr. Richman, who is the head director of the Pennsylvania Homeschoolers. He asked ME if I would play Pomp and Circumstance for the Pennsylvania Homeschoolers graduation ceremony on SATURDAY!!! I was just about to say "No!!!" when my Mom said "Yes, your doing it!!!"
UGH!!!!! She wants me to do it for the experience....
Unfortunately, I've never played Pomp and Circumstance in my life!!! So, as I'm sure you can imagine, I've been practicing like CRAZY!!!!
Its going to be held at the Forum in the Capital, Harrisburg. So, I'm going to be nothing but worried until its over!!! :)
Hopefully it'll go well though!

I'll post again later this week!

Videos

The end of Bible School 2009!!!!:(

Wednesday night was the last night of Bible School, and I think everyone had SO much fun!!!!
Right after everyone had arrived, my dad got up and asked how many of us LOVED cats. Brandon, Laura and Joshua said that they loved cats. So my dad had them come to the front and he gave them each a can of "cat food" and on the count of three, they were supposed to eat it. Whoever finished theirs first, won. Brandon won. Laura refused to eat hers (and I really don't blame her, I wouldn't have either). It turned out that it wasn't cat food, it was some kind of really gross processed meat that smelled terrible. :) But the videos I took are HILARIOUS!! and I'll post some of them separately. :)
Brandon, Laura and Joshua getting ready to open their cans. :)

We had pizza afterwards. At least that washed down the processed meat!

Mr. Myers, explaining the duck game rules to us.

Once again, it was loads of fun!!!!;)
Until later....:)

VBS, continuing:)

Well, I had a great time at Bible School yesterday and Monday. I'm splitting the days into separate posts.
After everyone showed up, my Dad asked if anyone in our class LOVED animals. A bunch of the kids raised their hands, and my Dad picked out four kids.
We went outside and my Dad gave each of them ten animal crackers. They were to eat the animal crackers as fast as they could, and then whistle "Dixie."
This is my Dad giving crackers out, and Brandon asking if he can eat some. :)

After the lesson, we played a water balloon game. Laken was my partner.
Here we are, with the balloon which we named George. :)

Oliver and Matthew

Jena and Cassandra

Timmy B. and the preacher

Britney and Mariah. Britney had to lean way down for Mariah, and then they kept having laughing fits....;)

VBS

Wow, it seems like its been forever since I last wrote! Yesterday was our first day of Vacation Bible School, at my church. We had a few major problems.....:)
We found out about two hours before Bible School started that the speakers for the teens, Woody and Alberta Wilson, were not going to be coming. So, my dad had to improvise for the first night, and we were hoping to get a youth pastor from a neighboring church to come in from Monday to Wednesday.
We finally found one who's available. So, we're all pretty relieved about that!
This is Daniel, he's playing the part of Miner Mike. ;)

The theme this year is "Treasure Mine," the decorations looked REALLY nice!

We all knew when the bus pulled in, because all of a sudden, the foyer was PACKED with kids.

The kids outside eating snack. I think after the name tags were all counted, we had 60-some kids from 3-11, and 20 from 12-18.

This is the group I was in. We had strawberry shortcake for our snack. (guess who made that?????) ;)

After our snack, we went and played a game with Mr. Myers.

After getting the hang of the game, we counted up our rocks to see who won. Brandon, (the one my Dad has his arm around) said that the boys had 18 in their bucket. But, he was joking, so that meant we won every game.

That was our first day of Bible School. This is my first year not helping in Bible school, and so far, its pretty fun! I'm sure I'll have more pictures later!
Until tomorrow probably!:)
